Is a backlink from a directory even worth anything , coz i have seen even pr5 directories have no pr for thier link page just their homepage is high pr

and google probably filters them anyways

Ya..Directory submission is useful for increasing traffic, i can suggest you to get backlinks from quality sites.

As for me, directories are still essential but based on my experienced directory submission will just waste your time instead save your time by doing the most valuable techniques like social bookmarking, forum posting and blog commenting. I don't think backlinks from directories would drive much traffic.

For me directory submission is just a waste of time. Why would you spend your time on that submission if there are other strategies that are more useful than directories? and the fact that almost directories takes time to review and sometimes it would not be accepted.

Not agree because directories can not help you to increase your traffics you can get lots of backlinks from there to get PR juice.

Directories can help to increase PR but not helpful in traffics promotion.

For me directory submission not more important now a days because many SEs will not count directories links as quality backlinks.

I think article submission better way than directories submission for site improvement.
